Celebrating One Year of Waterloo Wonders and Aintree Angels
The First Year of Waterloo Wonders and Aintree Angels
Since becoming a Burlesque With Paris instructor in April 2018, the journey with Waterloo Wonders and Aintree Angels has been nothing short of empowering, glamorous, and deeply rewarding. Teaching my very first class on 15th May 2018 marked the beginning of a year filled with growth, confidence-building, and unforgettable moments on and off the stage.
As I reflect on this first year, I am incredibly proud of everything these wonderful women have achieved. From tentative first steps into burlesque to confident performances, the journey has been filled with courage, laughter, and transformation.
The Rise of the Waterloo Wonders
Watching the Waterloo Wonders evolve from burlesque beginners into a strong, confident, and cohesive troupe has been an absolute joy. Each class brought visible growth in skill, confidence, and stage presence, with every routine becoming stronger and more polished than the last.
Their debut performance at the Burlesque Ball in November 2018 marked a huge milestone. Stepping onto the stage together, the Wonders delivered a performance filled with confidence, connection, and undeniable presence. The applause and audience response reflected not only their hard work, but the bond they had built as a group.
The strength of the Waterloo Wonders lies in their unwavering support for one another. Encouragement flows freely, creating a space where each woman feels valued, empowered, and celebrated. That sense of unity is what continues to drive their success and makes every performance a true reflection of their shared passion for burlesque.
The Aintree Angels Take the Stage
A defining highlight of the year came when the Aintree Angels performed at The Littledale Festival. This performance marked a special moment in my teaching journey and showcased the Angels’ infectious energy and confidence.
The Aintree Angels lit up the stage with their vibrant presence, embracing the joy and freedom that burlesque brings. Their routines were filled with personality, charm, and fearless expression, capturing the attention of the audience from start to finish.
This performance was about more than dance. It was a celebration of growth, self-belief, and the powerful transformation that comes from stepping into burlesque. The Angels delivered a performance full of heart and enthusiasm, leaving lasting memories and setting the tone for many exciting shows to come.
A Community of Confidence and Celebration
At the heart of Burlesque With Paris, Waterloo Wonders, and Aintree Angels is a thriving community built on encouragement, laughter, and empowerment. These classes are about far more than learning choreography. They are a place where women come together to celebrate themselves, support one another, and embrace self-expression without judgement.
Within this welcoming space, friendships have blossomed, and confidence has flourished. Each class is filled with shared laughter, moments of vulnerability, and victories both big and small. The diversity within the group strengthens the community, allowing every woman to shine in her own unique way.
Witnessing the personal transformations that happen within this environment is one of the most rewarding parts of the journey. Burlesque becomes a tool for confidence, joy, and self discovery, extending far beyond the stage.
Looking Ahead with Feathers, Glitter, and New Beginnings
As we look towards the year ahead, excitement is building for new routines, new performances, and welcoming fresh faces into our community. The promise of feathers, glitter, and creativity symbolises new beginnings and the continuation of an already incredible journey.
Our classes remain a space where women can explore their individuality, build confidence, and discover just how powerful they truly are. With every twirl, every routine, and every shared moment, the bond within Waterloo Wonders and Aintree Angels continues to grow stronger.
I am incredibly excited to continue teaching, welcoming new ladies into our classes, and seeing where the next chapter leads us. I look forward to meeting you in class and sharing this magical journey together.
Best wishes
