About Burlesque With Paris
Burlesque With Paris was founded on 1 March 2017 by UK burlesque performer Paris Chantilly, with the mission of making burlesque classes fun, accessible, and empowering for everyone, regardless of age, background, or experience.
From the very beginning, Burlesque With Paris has focused on creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where students feel safe, supported, and confident. All classes are fully beginner-friendly, with all props provided, allowing students to simply turn up, perfectly prepared to dance and enjoy the experience.
What began as just two burlesque classes, Selby Starlets and Goole Goddesses, quickly grew into a vibrant and supportive burlesque community across Yorkshire and Humberside. The emphasis has always been on joy, self-expression, confidence, and connection, rather than perfection.
As the community continued to grow, new classes were launched across the region, including Featherstone Follies, Hull Honeys, Selby Sirens, Hull Harlots, and Doncaster Divas, allowing even more students to discover the confidence, creativity, and self-belief that burlesque can bring.
In 2024, the Burlesque With Paris family expanded further when Sugarboo joined the team as an instructor and a new class, Sugar Belles, was introduced, creating even more opportunities for students to explore burlesque in a supportive and empowering space.
In the same year, all Burlesque With Paris shows moved to Doncaster Little Theatre, chosen for its intimate theatre setting. This move allows performers and audiences to connect more closely, creating a warm and immersive experience that reflects the heart of burlesque and the supportive spirit of the community.
In 2025, Goole Goddesses evolved into Drax Diamonds, marking an exciting new chapter in the growth of the Burlesque With Paris community while honouring its roots and continued development.
Also in 2025, Burlesque With Paris evolved again with the introduction of a dedicated team of stand-in instructors, ensuring continuity, care, and consistency across all classes. Working closely with Paris Chantilly, these instructors share the same teaching values and passion for empowering students.
Together, Paris Chantilly and the stand-in instructors form the performing group Roulette Rogues, who made their debut performance at The Revelry of Tease 2024. The Roulette Rogues bring experience, creativity, and a shared artistic vision to both the stage and the studio, strengthening the connection between performance and teaching across Burlesque With Paris.
The Roulette Rogues include Paris Chantilly, Cherry Dynamite of Drax Diamonds, Bohemian Beauty of Featherstone Follies, Harley Queen of Selby Sirens, Scarlett Valentine of Selby Starlets, Violet Grace of Hull Harlots, Sugarboo of Hull Honeys, and Salacious Silk of Doncaster Divas.
Burlesque With Paris classes combine dance, comedy, sensuality, and body confidence. Students of all levels are encouraged to express themselves freely, celebrate their individuality, and move in ways that feel joyful and authentic. Whether you are completely new to burlesque or a seasoned showgirl, you will find fun, friendship, and fierce empowerment in every class.
Burlesque With Paris proudly hosts four shows each year, offering students the opportunity to celebrate their progress and, if they choose, perform on stage in a supportive and encouraging environment.
The Revelry of Tease is our student showcase show, where performers of all levels are invited to take to the stage and celebrate their burlesque journey in an inclusive and welcoming setting.
Burlesque Ball is our biggest annual show and a highlight of the Burlesque With Paris calendar. Run over two nights, this event celebrates excellence across our classes and includes class awards, the crowning of Miss Star of Burlesque With Paris, and performance awards for standout routines. Burlesque Ball is a true celebration of growth, confidence, and achievement within the community.
Winning performances from Burlesque Ball are invited to perform at Burlesque Lounge, our international burlesque show. Burlesque Lounge features selected award-winning student acts alongside guest performers from the wider burlesque community, making it a prestigious celebration of creativity, talent, and achievement.
All students are welcome to take part in our shows, but performing is always optional. Many dancers choose to focus on confidence building, personal growth, and community, enjoying the journey without stepping on stage.
Each term ends with Graduation Week, held during the week before Girls On Film. Graduation Week is a chance for students to celebrate their progress, reflect on their journey, and enjoy a supportive and joyful final class with their fellow dancers.
The term then concludes with Girls On Film, a professional photo and video session held during the final class. This experience allows students to capture their progress and celebrate their achievements, whether they choose to share it on social media or keep it as a personal milestone.
