DIY Burlesque How to Make a Spiky Punk Bra

Creating your own spiky punk bra is a fun and edgy way to add attitude to your burlesque costume. This DIY project is perfect if you want a bold statement piece that reflects punk-inspired burlesque style while still being wearable and stage ready.

What You Will Need:

• Bra

• Sewing Needle

• Sewing Thread

• Sew On Spikes Stud

How To

Start by threading your needle. Begin in the centre of one bra cup and sew your first spike stud securely into place. This central spike will act as your guide for the rest of the design.

Leave a small gap and sew your next spike stud beside the first one. Continue sewing spike studs around the centre stud, working in a circular pattern. You should end up with five or six spike studs forming a ring around the centre spike, as shown in pic 1.

Once the first circle is complete, continue adding spike studs in larger circular rows, always working outward from the centre. Keep following the same circular shape until the entire cup is covered with spike studs.

When you have finished the first cup, repeat the same process on the second cup. Start with one spike stud in the centre and work outward in circles until both cups match.

And that’s it. Your spiky punk burlesque bra is now complete and ready to wear on stage.
