Burlesque With Paris at Tesco’s Centenary Celebration
To celebrate Tesco’s 100 year anniversary, the Goole Goddesses, Selby Sirens, and Selby Starlets came together to perform for a fantastic charitable cause. Led by Paris Chantilly, the Burlesque With Paris performers took to the floor at the Tesco Dance Beats charity event on 19 July 2019, bringing sparkle, confidence, and joy to the celebration.

The Dance Beats event was more than a centenary celebration. It was Tesco’s way of giving back to the community by raising funds for Cancer Research, the British Heart Foundation, and Diabetes UK.
By inviting the Goole Goddesses, Selby Sirens, and Selby Starlets to perform, Tesco highlighted the importance of community spirit and collective generosity. The Tesco superstore in Goole was transformed into a vibrant and uplifting space filled with music, movement, and meaningful fundraising. Each performance combined entertainment with purpose, showing how dance can bring people together while supporting vital health charities.

Paris Chantilly and Her Burlesque Queens
Crafting the Perfect Performance.
Under the guidance of Paris Chantilly, the Burlesque With Paris performers created a dynamic routine for the Dance Beats charity event. The performance featured ten short sections taken from some of the most popular routines taught in class.
The audience enjoyed a wide variety of music and styles, ranging from the seductive Welcome to Burlesque to the playful energy of Singing in the Rain. Weeks of preparation and dedication were evident as the Goole Goddesses, Selby Sirens, and Selby Starlets moved seamlessly from one routine to the next.
Dressed in their class uniforms, each dancer brought confidence, personality, and passion to the performance. Together, they created a joyful and engaging showcase that celebrated both burlesque and the important causes they were supporting.

The Impact Beyond the Event.
The Dance Beats event had a lasting impact on the local community. Tesco customers responded with enthusiasm, creating a warm and supportive atmosphere throughout the performance. It was especially lovely to see children watching and joining in with the fun alongside their mums as the ladies danced.
The positive feedback received on the day led to increased interest in the Goole Goddesses burlesque class, with new ladies joining the following Monday night. The funds raised during the event went on to support Cancer Research, the British Heart Foundation, and Diabetes UK, helping to make a real difference beyond the dance floor.
