Happy 3rd Anniversary to my sensational Selby Starlets and a sparkling 3rd Birthday to Burlesque With Paris.
What an extraordinary year it has been. Another twelve months filled with laughter, learning, bold routines, spectacular props, frilly knickers, and shimmering tassels. Over the past three years, the Selby Starlets have grown into a confident, charismatic group of performers, and it has been an absolute joy to witness their evolution both on and off the stage.

The Magic of The Revelry of Tease
The Victoria Social Club in Goole played host to a truly enchanting evening at The Revelry of Tease. This vibrant showcase brought together Selby Starlets alongside other dazzling burlesque groups, creating a rich tapestry of tease, glamour, and storytelling.
Solo performances from Scarlett Valentine, Grandma Licious, and Pixie Bella captivated the audience, each bringing their own unmistakable flair to the stage. Adding to the magic was a beautifully cohesive group performance by Pink Champagne, Cinnamon Satin, and Havana Hepburn, whose chemistry and elegance lit up the room. Every act contributed to an unforgettable night that perfectly embodied the camaraderie and creativity of the burlesque community.

Dancing for a Cause at Tesco Dance Beats
The Tesco Dance Beats charity event offered the Selby Starlets an opportunity to take their passion beyond the stage and into the heart of the community. Performing alongside the Goole Goddesses and Selby Sirens, the Starlets transformed the aisles of Tesco in Goole into a joyful celebration of movement, music, and generosity.
Raising funds for Cancer Research, the British Heart Foundation, and Diabetes UK, this event proved that burlesque is not only about performance but also about connection, kindness, and making a positive impact. Shoppers and children alike were drawn into the fun, creating moments of laughter and shared joy that perfectly captured the spirit of Burlesque With Paris.

The Burlesque Ball Show Spectacular
The Burlesque Ball Show at Drax Social Club was a standout highlight of the year and a true celebration of the Selby Starlets’ talent and dedication. Performances from Grandma Licious, Pixie Bella, Scarlett Valentine, Cinnamon Satin, and Violet Vixen dazzled the audience, each act delivering its own blend of elegance, seduction, humour, and storytelling.
From intricate choreography to stunning costumes and expertly handled props, every detail reflected the hard work poured into the routines. The energy in the room was electric, and the audience response made it clear that this was a night to remember. The Burlesque Ball once again proved to be a pinnacle moment in the Selby Starlets’ calendar.

A Year of Diverse Routines and Props
This past year has been a vibrant celebration of creativity, growth, and fearless exploration for the Selby Starlets. Each routine introduced a new style, prop, and performance challenge, allowing the group to expand their burlesque repertoire while embracing their individuality and confidence. From the sultry elegance of I Just Want To Make Love To You, where boas were used to master classic tease and control, to the bold storytelling of But I Am A Good Girl as a full show routine, the Starlets demonstrated their ability to command the stage with presence and personality. Playful drama came to life in Umbrella, using umbrellas to create striking visual moments, while Pink Panther brought humour and sophistication to the Burlesque Ball with a polished show-ready performance. Festive charm shone through in Santa Baby, performed without props and driven purely by character and confidence. The timeless allure of classic burlesque was revisited in Bump and Grinds, featuring gloves and boas, before the year culminated in the powerful fan work of Night Train, where ostrich fans added glamour, precision, and drama to the stage. Each routine layered new skills, styles, and self-belief onto the Starlets’ journey, showcasing their versatility, growing confidence, and deep love for the art of burlesque.

Three years in, the Selby Starlets continue to shine brighter than ever. This journey has been filled with courage, creativity, and connection, and I am endlessly proud of every single performer who has stepped into the spotlight.
