Where Mondays Sparkle Online with Paris Chantilly and the Zoomets

During lockdown, staying connected has been more important than ever. For many dancers, Monday evenings with Paris Chantilly and the Zoomets became a weekly highlight. These online burlesque classes brought people together from their own homes, creating a space filled with laughter, movement, and confidence-boosting fun.

Each week, a wonderful group of dedicated dancers logged on to Zoom, ready to shimmy, sparkle, and forget about the outside world for an hour. The Zoomets quickly became more than just an online class. They became a supportive burlesque family, sharing energy, encouragement, and joy through dance.

The Month of May and the That Man Routine

Throughout May, the Zoomets worked on the fabulous That Man routine, set to the unforgettable music of Caro Emerald. This routine was full of character, cheekiness, and style, making it an absolute joy to learn and perform. Each dancer brought their own personality to the choreography, proving that burlesque is all about individuality and self-expression.

Even through a screen, the energy was electric. With Paris Chantilly guiding every step, turn, and pose, the Zoomets fully embraced the routine and made it their own. Confidence grew with every class, and the routine came together beautifully week by week.

Hats, Creativity, and Personal Style

One of the most fun elements of the That Man routine was the use of hats. Zoomets got creative with their choices, from elegant wedding hats to baseball caps and cosy woolly hats. Each hat added a personal touch and allowed dancers to express their own style.

This playful approach perfectly captured the spirit of burlesque. There were no rules, just creativity, imagination, and lots of laughter. Paris Chantilly encouraged everyone to have fun with it, reminding us all that burlesque should always feel joyful and empowering.

Looking Ahead to June and the S&M Routine

June brings something completely different and just as exciting. The new routine will explore S&M styling with floggers. If you do not own a flogger, do not worry. A tea towel works just as well, proving once again that burlesque can be creative, accessible, and full of surprises. Who knew a tea towel could become a burlesque prop?
