Quarantease Lounge Part Two | 27 June 2020
When Living Rooms Became the Stage
Quarantease Lounge returned on 26 June with a second sensational evening that once again proved burlesque knows no boundaries. From living rooms across the country, twenty-two guests gathered online to share in an unforgettable night of glamour, tease, and extraordinary artistry, all streamed live via Zoom. Though physically apart, the connection between performers and audience was as strong as ever, creating a shared experience filled with anticipation, excitement, and celebration.
As guests logged in from their own sanctuaries, the virtual waiting room buzzed with eager chatter, emojis lighting up screens as excitement grew. Screens flickered to life across multiple locations, weaving together a tapestry of anticipation and shared joy. The promise of Paris Chantilly’s appearance hung in the air, a beacon drawing everyone closer to the magic that was about to unfold. This was not simply an online event, it was an invitation to step beyond the everyday and into the Burlesque With Paris world, where artistry, allure, and confidence reign supreme.
The show burst into life with the vibrant entrance of Blue Bell, whose fiery presence immediately captivated the audience. Performing to I Want to Do Bad Things to You, she was joined by the dashing Duke Barry, their chemistry crackling through the screen. Playful, mischievous, and boldly confident, their routine set a thrilling tone for the evening and welcomed viewers into a world where fantasy and flirtation danced hand in hand.
Next to grace the virtual stage was Delicious Denise from Selby Sirens, who delivered a captivating performance to My Discarded Men. Her presence was commanding, her storytelling rich with emotion as she wove a tale of love, independence, and allure. Every movement radiated confidence and control, drawing the audience into her narrative and earning thunderous applause across the digital space.
The energy surged with Cherry Bomb from Hull Honeys, whose rhythmic, high-energy routine filled screens with irresistible confidence. Her hip work and fluid movement transported the audience into a world where burlesque and dance collided. Bold, powerful, and magnetic, her performance was not merely watched but felt, leaving viewers exhilarated and fully engaged.
A dramatic shift followed with Ja Ja Lamour from Featherstone Foxes, who introduced a commanding exploration of power and sensuality. Dressed in exquisite leather, she transformed the virtual stage into her domain, blending dominance with refined burlesque finesse. Each deliberate movement told a story of control and surrender, captivating the audience with a performance that was both provocative and artistically rich.
The first half reached its peak as Pinkie T’Boo introduced the incomparable Paris Chantilly. Performing her celebrated Love Me routine to Love Me Like You Do, Paris delivered a masterclass in elegance and tease. Her ostrich feather fans moved like extensions of her body, fluttering and framing her silhouette with breathtaking precision. Each reveal was carefully paced, creating a moment of shared intimacy that transcended the digital screen and reminded everyone why burlesque is an art of emotion as much as movement.
The second half opened with Sapphire Shimmer from Hull Honeys, whose modern go go inspired routine brought fresh energy to the evening. Set to music composed by her husband, her performance felt deeply personal and vibrant. Ending in sparkling pasties, she left the audience buzzing and eager for more.
Glitzy Rose followed with a beautifully emotive rendition of Cry For Me from Dirty Dancing. Her graceful choreography and expressive presence transported viewers into a nostalgic dreamscape, blending classic cinema romance with burlesque elegance. Her connection to the music and audience was undeniable, earning heartfelt applause.
Dark storytelling took centre stage with Scarlett Valentine from Selby Starlets, whose portrayal of Cruella De Vil was both haunting and captivating. Draped in black and white, she embodied the villain’s elegance and menace with commanding precision. Her theatrical performance explored the allure of villainy through burlesque, leaving the audience mesmerised and slightly unnerved in the best possible way.
The energy reignited as Coral Kisses from Featherstone Follies exploded onto the virtual stage with her signature shimmy, shake, and razzle-dazzle. Bursting with charisma, she filled the screen with joy and sparkle, embodying the timeless spirit of burlesque and reminding everyone why this art form continues to captivate hearts.
Bringing the evening to a serene and stunning close was Trixie Peach, whose performance with shimmering gold Isis wings was nothing short of ethereal. Her movements flowed with precision and grace, creating a moment of pure visual poetry. The wings shimmered as she danced, transporting the audience into a world of beauty, balance, and classical burlesque elegance.
As the final screens dimmed, the virtual room buzzed with animated conversation, gratitude, and shared delight. Once again, Quarantease Lounge proved that burlesque thrives anywhere passion and creativity exist. Lockdown could not silence the sparkle, nor dim the connection forged through performance.
And the journey was far from over.
Quarantease Lounge returned once more on 25 July for Part 3, with ten more spectacular performers ready to bring glamour, tease, and joy directly into living rooms everywhere. Even in lockdown, life’s little luxuries were still meant to be enjoyed.
