Student Views - Scarlett Valentine - Selby Starlets

I have been going to the Selby starlets class since it first opened, almost 4 years ago now and I love it! I started the classes to have a little 'me time' away from work and home life and to help loose a few pounds after having my children but I got that and more, I have met some fantastic people through burlesque with paris and my self confidence has grown so much since the beginning. Classes are great fun every week, I've learned lots of new things and enjoy using different styles of music and a wide variety of props to dance with. I look forward to the student showcases throughout the year and especially the annual show, they are always a spectacular night out and my partner even enjoys coming to! They are a great opportunity for people to show what they've learned and their own creative ideas or even just watch other performances. My instructor, Paris, is all-around fabulous, motivates us on our down days, and is always there to help. There's such a wide variety of people that come to classes and I like that everyone's comfort zones are fully respected and you only get involved with what you want to do, no pressure. I would highly recommend trying burlesque with paris classes to anyone who's thinking about it, you won't be disappointed. Thank you, Paris!
