“I had seen Burlesque dance several years ago and fell in love with the beautiful art of the tease, never did I think that I might have the confidence to follow in those steps.

I joined Burlesque with Paris almost a year ago, and I am so happy I took that step. The ladies in the class were immediately welcoming and friendly. We are a very diverse group, all supporting each other. We laugh a lot and work as a team.

Paris Chantilly, aka Tina, our instructor, is very patient and literally takes us step by step through the fantastic routines. Her choreography of each routine is brilliant, and the props she teaches us to use are fabulous. My personal favourite is the fans.

Paris/Tina works so hard with all her groups and is so much more than just an instructor. In November, I took part in the Burlesque Ball Show and took to the stage with the Selby Sirens, my classmates, and friends. I never would have imagined that I would have the confidence to dance in front of an audience, and it is all thanks to Paris that I was able to.

I am so looking forward to learning more routines, getting dressed up in sequins and sparkles, and building my confidence ready for our next show.”
