The Birth of Hull Honeys

Hull Honeys began as a vision rooted in empowerment, self-expression, and confidence. From the very first class, a vibrant group of women came together with a shared desire to explore the art of burlesque in a supportive and uplifting environment. What started as a dance class quickly evolved into a sanctuary where friendships flourished, laughter filled the room, and individuality was celebrated.

More than learning choreography, Hull Honeys became a place to build confidence, embrace creativity, and feel truly seen. This foundation of camaraderie and encouragement laid the groundwork for the incredible journey that would follow, shaping Hull Honeys into a beacon of empowerment within the Burlesque With Paris community.

Overcoming Adversity

In March 2020, the sudden pause brought on by the global pandemic presented one of the biggest challenges Hull Honeys had faced. Classes stopped, stages went dark, and the weekly connection that meant so much was temporarily lost. Despite the uncertainty, the spirit of Hull Honeys never faded.

When classes reopened in June 2021, the return was filled with joy, gratitude, and renewed passion. Reuniting was about more than dancing again, it was a celebration of resilience, community, and the unbreakable bond that had carried everyone through difficult times. This chapter marked the beginning of a stronger, more determined Hull Honeys.

A Night to Remember The Burlesque Ball Show 2021

On 12 November 2021, Hull Honeys took to the stage at the Burlesque With Paris Burlesque Ball Show at Drax Sports and Social Club. Their class routine to Pink Panther and 007 was a stunning display of elegance, precision, and confidence that captivated the audience from start to finish.

The evening was elevated further by a beautiful group performance from Sugarboo, Atomic Storm, Amethyst Moonshine, and Cherry Noir, whose fan choreography added drama and finesse. The night was a true celebration of growth, talent, and the magic of burlesque.

Celebrating Excellence Hull Honeys Class Awards 2021

The 2021 class awards honoured the dedication and achievements of standout members.
Amethyst Moonshine was awarded Star of the Class for her captivating stage presence and commitment.
Atomic Storm received Miss Dedicated for her unwavering passion and hard work.
Cherry Noir was named Miss Most Improved, celebrating her remarkable growth in confidence and performance.

Hull Honeys returned to the Burlesque With Paris Ball in 2022 with unforgettable performances to All That Jazz and Boogie Wonderland. These routines showcased storytelling, musicality, and polished group work, while solo performances from Sugarboo, Amethyst Moonshine, and Von Yr Neez added depth and individuality to the evening.

Each act was met with enthusiastic applause, highlighting the passion and artistry that Hull Honeys bring to every stage they step onto.

Celebrating the Stars of 2022

The 2022 class awards once again celebrated excellence within Hull Honeys.
Sugarboo was crowned Star of the Class for her magnetic performances.
Von Yr Neez received Miss Dedicated for her continued commitment and drive.
Midnight Muse earned Miss Most Improved, recognising her inspiring journey and growth.

Each award reflected the confidence, creativity, and determination that define the Hull Honeys spirit.

The Evolution of Hull Honeys Class Routines

Over the years, Hull Honeys have explored a rich and diverse range of burlesque styles. Elegant ostrich fan routines such as Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps, Feeling Good, Smash, and festive favourites brought drama and allure. Classic glamour shone through That Man and All That Jazz with sequin skirts and trilby hats, while playful storytelling featured in routines like 007 Pink Panther and Boogie Wonderland.

More contemporary and expressive pieces such as Fire In My Head with capes and gloves, Candyman with belly dancing canes, and Cover Me In Sunshine with silk fans demonstrated the versatility and creativity of the class. Each routine marked a new chapter in confidence, performance skill, and artistic growth.
