Burlesque Ball Part Two illuminated Doncaster Little Theatre on 16 November 2024, welcoming a sold out audience eager for a night of glitter, glamour and unforgettable burlesque artistry. From the moment guests arrived, the theatre buzzed with anticipation. Costumes shimmered beneath the lights, conversations sparkled with excitement and every detail promised an evening rich in visual spectacle and emotional connection. This was more than a show. It was a celebration of tease, talent and community.

Guiding the evening with charisma and effortless charm was the incomparable Khandie Khisses. Her wit, warmth and vibrant stage presence kept the audience engaged throughout the night. With seamless transitions and enthusiastic introductions, she set the tone for each performer’s grand entrance, weaving the evening together with confidence and flair.

Behind the scenes and through the lens was Rob Gurney, whose photography captured the essence of the night in stunning detail. From dramatic poses to fleeting expressions and intricate costumes, his work preserved the passion and personality of every performer. His images allow the magic of the Burlesque Ball to live on, long after the curtain fell.

Opening the show with electrifying energy were The Sugar Bombs, who burst onto the stage to Welcome to Burlesque by Cher. Dressed in vibrant pink and black costumes featuring corsets and showgirl skirts, they delivered a high impact opening packed with theatrical flair. Gloves and boas were used with expert precision, each movement building anticipation and excitement. The audience responded with enthusiastic applause as their dazzling costumes and playful choreography set an exhilarating standard for the night ahead.

Grace and elegance followed as Pink Champagne of Selby Sirens and Selby Starlets delivered a mesmerising silk fan routine to World on Fire by Dolly Parton. Wearing black sequin shorts and a red check shirt, she moved with poise and control. Her fans fluttered and flowed in perfect harmony with the music, creating an ethereal atmosphere that held the audience spellbound. Seamless transitions and fluid motion showcased her refined technique, earning gasps of admiration and heartfelt applause.

Laughter and sass erupted as Bella Diamond and Pixie Dust of Selby Sirens took the stage with a cheeky performance to a medley of I Want to Break Free by Queen and Man I Feel Like a Woman by Shania Twain. Entering in cleaning overcoats and wielding mops, they playfully mimicked domestic chores before shedding their outer layers to reveal sparkling burlesque costumes beneath. Yellow marigold gloves peeled away with teasing precision as feather dusters and cowboy hats appeared. Their chemistry and comedic timing delighted the audience, and their final reveal of glittering pasties sent the theatre into roaring applause.

A bold solo debut followed as Miss Mona from Selby Sirens commanded the stage to I Wanna Be Your Slave. Beginning with her back to the audience, whip in hand, she immediately set a powerful tone. Dressed in striking black lingerie with dominatrix flair, she led a male prop onstage by collar and chain, showcasing strength, confidence, and control. Hip bumps, bum rolls, and commanding poses filled the stage before her dramatic bra removal revealed glittering pasties. The crowd erupted in cheers for a debut that was fierce and unforgettable.

The stage filled with glamour and unity as Doncaster Divas delivered an ensemble performance to Dangerous Woman by Ariana Grande. Salacious Silk, She She La Play, Lady Fifi Redhead, Von Yr Neez, Velvet Cupcake, Cinnamon Star, Ruby Rose, Penny Dreadful and Beltane Bette appeared in coordinated pink and black costumes, blending vintage elegance with playful edge. Bump skirts and gloves added classic flair, while cheeky skirt lifts and glove removals using teeth thrilled the audience. Their chorus lines were perfectly synchronised, culminating in a back turned bra removal and glittering pastie reveal that brought thunderous applause.

Rock and roll confidence took over as Harley Queen from Selby Sirens and Selby Starlets stormed the stage to Fat Bottomed Girls by Queen. Wearing a black PVC skirt and top, she radiated rebellious energy and bold charisma. Her routine was packed with bum rolls, playful teases, and a fearless attitude. Ripping away her skirt to reveal bright pink pants, she strutted across the stage before twirling her top overhead and discarding it to reveal sparkling pink tassels. The audience roared in approval as her high-energy performance brought the first half to a powerful close.

Classic tease returned as Lola Sparkles from Selby Sirens appeared in a vibrant pink ensemble to Pink by Aerosmith. Beginning with an elegant boa twirl, she teased the audience with playful charm. Slow glove removals heightened anticipation before a sultry bum roll saw her pink bustle artfully discarded. Rose petals scattered across the stage as she removed her bra, unveiling sparkling pasties and earning rapturous applause for her polished and flirtatious performance.

Showgirl glamour shimmered across the stage as Glamma Joolz, Ruby Red and Mystique Riviera of The Sugar Belles performed to Burlesque by Pure Energy Crew. Wearing teal gowns and silver headdresses, they delivered a masterclass in synchronisation and elegance. Intricate footwork and striking leg lines captivated the audience as they transitioned into a seated routine showcasing impeccable chair technique. Removing their gowns to reveal skin toned bras and silver pasties, they concluded with seamless precision that left the crowd in awe.

Drama and storytelling followed as Scarlett Valentine from Selby Starlets took the stage to Call Me Cruella by Florence and the Machine. Draped in a luxurious Dalmatian fur coat, she commanded attention before revealing a black sequin dress and long satin gloves. A tantalising unzip paired with a cheeky bum wiggle unveiled red lace knickers and a black and white corset beneath. Her glove removal was a masterclass in tease, followed by an elegant silk fan finale that completely captivated the audience.

Mystery and elegance filled the stage as Tity Von Tease from Selby Starlets performed to Beautiful by Benny Benassi. Beginning in a black robe facing away from the audience, she slowly revealed white lingerie and satin gloves. Confetti burst from her gloves as they were removed, delighting the crowd. Displaying photographs of the Selby Starlets added a personal touch before she removed her bra to reveal glittering tassels. Her playful sophistication earned enthusiastic applause.

Swashbuckling spectacle arrived with Jaja Lamore from Selby Starlets, who delivered a dynamic buccaneer-themed performance. Dressed in a bold red pirate costume, she showcased impressive sword balancing and dramatic skirt work before revealing pirate knickers. Red and black silk fans flowed through the air as her corset was removed, leading to a powerful bra reveal. Raising her sword high with glittering pirate pasties on display, she left the audience spellbound.

Latin flair took over as Cherry Dynamite, Bubblez Byzance, Pink Champagne, Vanilla Silk, and Bella Diamond of Selby Sirens delivered a vibrant group routine to Sway by The Pussycat Dolls. Wearing dazzling pink and purple salsa dresses, they filled the stage with synchronised footwork and intricate fan choreography. Fans swirled in perfect rhythm as fluid transitions and energetic movement created a breathtaking visual spectacle that earned resounding applause.

Closing the first half with deep emotion was Paris Chantilly, who delivered a heartfelt tribute to Tina La Tease to Dream a Little Dream of Me by Mama Cass. Dressed in a luxurious cream marabou-trimmed gown, she moved with reverence and grace. Layers of costume were removed slowly and deliberately, each gesture filled with meaning. Glitter showered the stage as she transitioned into a stunning ostrich fan dance, her movements poetic and powerful. The audience watched in silence before erupting into heartfelt applause, visibly moved by the beauty and emotion of her tribute.

As the interval was announced, guests gathered in the bar and foyer, animatedly sharing favourite moments and reliving the magic they had just witnessed. Laughter, excitement and admiration filled the space as anticipation built for what the second half would bring. When the lights dimmed once again, the theatre fell quiet, ready for the next wave of burlesque brilliance.

The second half of the evening burst into life as Selby Starlets swept onto the stage in a powerful display of confidence and tease. Scarlett Valentine, Cherry Dynamite, Pink Champagne, Jaja Lamore, Harley Queen, Tity Von Tease, Bashful Beany and Phoenix Rose appeared in alluring pink and black lingerie, immediately setting the tone for what was to come. Performing to Take My Love, Take Me, they began with playful glove removals, each gesture drawing the audience deeper into their world. Sensual hands traced down legs as anticipation built, before babydolls were shed and tossed into the eager crowd. Feather bustles followed, discarded with dramatic flair, culminating in a bold bra removal that revealed striking pasties and tassels. Their final group pose was met with a roaring eruption of applause, signalling that the second half had truly ignited.

Commanding the stage next was Beltane Bette from Doncaster Divas, delivering a fiery performance to Fire Woman by The Cult. Armed with vibrant, fire coloured silk fans, she captured attention from her first step. Placing the fans carefully on a chair, she teased her way forward with slow glove removals, building tension with every movement. Her confident bra removal revealed vivid red pasties, before she reclaimed her fans to heighten the drama further. Each calculated sweep of silk added to the intensity, and her sultry final pose drew fervent applause that echoed throughout the theatre.

Classic glamour took centre stage as Lady Fifi Redhead mesmerised the audience with a performance inspired by Jessica Rabbit’s iconic bar scene. Draped in a glittering red dress with a daring thigh split and long purple satin gloves, she radiated allure and poise. Beginning with her prop seated at a table, she appeared moments later dressed to kill, slowly peeling away her gloves with deliberate sensuality. Her sparkling red gown slipped from her shoulders in a flawless reveal, unveiling red lingerie adorned with tassels. The theatre crackled with electricity as the audience responded with thunderous cheers.

Playful sophistication followed as The Sugar Belles brought cheeky elegance to the stage with Feeling Good by Michael Bublé. Dressed in black showgirl dresses paired with long red satin gloves, they blended flirtatious leg work with mischievous bum rolls. Their glove removals, some using their teeth, delighted the crowd before dresses were lifted overhead to reveal vibrant red and black lingerie beneath. The routine built to a polished bra removal, revealing bold tassels and pasties in a joyful nod to classic burlesque tradition. The audience buzzed with excitement at their spirited performance.

Refined elegance filled the theatre as Sugarboo, instructor and performer, delivered a mesmerising routine to West Coast by Lana Del Rey. Wearing a burgundy corset, matching knickers and a flowing skirt with white satin gloves, she began on the floor, using the skirt to create fluid, captivating shapes. Rising gracefully, she teased the fabric down her legs with exquisite control. As gloves were removed and white ostrich fans appeared, her mastery of fan technique took centre stage. Each sweep was precise and hypnotic, building to a breathtaking final pose as the fans closed around her. The audience responded with sustained applause, captivated by her poise and artistry.

A striking debut followed as Vanilla Silk from Selby Sirens dazzled with her steampunk-inspired performance to Black Cherry by Goldfrapp. Dressed in an intricate black woven underskirt, corset, and hat, she paired black and red silk fans with flawless precision. Her movements were elegant and controlled, fans swirling in perfect harmony with the music. The atmosphere grew charged as her creativity and confidence unfolded, leaving a lasting impression on all who watched.

Lively charm returned as Cherry Dynamite, representing both Selby Sirens and Selby Starlets, enchanted the audience with her playful fan dance to Chinchilla by Slim Moon. Emerging from behind a large gold fan, she immediately captured attention. Transforming her skirt into a dramatic cape before casting it aside, she blended flirtation and theatrical flair with ease. Her fluid movements and cheeky expressions earned waves of applause for an act that was both entertaining and artful.

Holiday fun swept the stage as Salacious Silk from Doncaster Divas arrived with a suitcase in hand to We’re Going to Ibiza by Vengaboys. Tossing a bikini into the crowd and spreading out a beach towel, she created instant laughter and delight. Sensuous hair flips and playful teasing built toward a bikini reveal, complete with beach ball interaction that drew the audience into her sunny fantasy. Her classic showgirl finishing pose earned rapturous applause.

Dark drama followed as Von Yr Neez and Penny Dreadful of Doncaster Divas delivered a captivating duet to They Call Me Devil by Lucifer. Emerging with dramatic black Isis wings, they unfurled them in perfect synchrony to reveal opulent black costumes beneath. Slow glove removals, seductive leg traces, and a powerful attitude filled the stage. Their confident poses resonated deeply with the crowd, earning enthusiastic applause.

Intensity and elegance combined as Ruby Rose from Doncaster Divas commanded the stage to Escapism by Raye. Beginning with her back to the audience, she wielded a black organza boa with deliberate control. Red satin gloves were removed one by one, each motion heightening suspense. A shower of red rose petals followed, adding visual drama before her final reveal of glittering tassels sent the audience into loud cheers.

Ethereal beauty returned as Selby Sirens, Harley Queen, Lola Sparkles, Miss Mona, Pixie Dust, and Amethyst Allure, performed to I Can’t Help Falling in Love With You by Haley Reinhart. Beginning concealed behind ostrich fans, they opened in perfect unison to reveal elegant pink and black costumes. Their fan work was exquisite, swirling and fluttering with flawless timing. Rose petals cascaded as gloves were removed, before the group reunited for a final fan reveal that left the audience utterly captivated.

The evening reached its emotional peak as Paris Chantilly graced the stage to Love Me Like You Do. Her entrance alone was breathtaking, her richly adorned costume shimmering beneath the lights. Isis wings, an ostrich boa, and peacock fans became extensions of her storytelling, each reveal unfolding with precision and grace. Every movement spoke of empowerment and refined seduction, transporting the audience into a world of elegance and artistry. Her performance held the theatre in rapt silence before erupting into heartfelt applause.

Closing the night in joyous celebration were The Roulette Rogues, dedicating their performance to Khandie Khisses. Dressed in vibrant orange, her favourite colour, they took to the stage with high energy to Shake a Tail Feather by Tina Turner. Facing away from the audience, their go-go style entrance set an infectious tone. Gloves flew, feather bustles shook, and orange assels spun in perfect synchrony. The final bra removal revealed dazzling tassels, sending the audience into a frenzy of cheers. It was a fitting tribute filled with joy, sass and showgirl spirit.

As the final applause echoed through Doncaster Little Theatre, Burlesque Ball Part Two closed on a triumphant high. Guests lingered, reliving favourite moments and celebrating a night that showcased the very best of burlesque artistry. From playful comedy to powerful storytelling, the evening stood as a shining testament to Burlesque With Paris and its dedication to celebrating tease, talent and community. Anticipation for the next Burlesque Ball was already building as audiences stepped out into the night, hearts full and spirits lifted.
