Celebrating eight sensational years, the Selby Starlets have firmly established themselves as a dazzling and much-loved part of the Burlesque With Paris community.

Over the years, this incredible class has grown into a confident, creative, and captivating group of performers. Their journey has been shaped by camaraderie, empowerment, and a shared love of burlesque, making every class, routine, and stage appearance a true celebration of self-expression, artistry, and tease.

A Journey Through Style, Confidence and Performance

The Selby Starlets enjoyed a beautifully varied year, with each term introducing new styles, techniques, and creative challenges that supported growth in confidence, performance quality, and artistic expression.

Term Three saw the Starlets embrace Classic Burlesque with Love For Sale. Using umbrellas as their prop, the dancers explored elegance, character, and refined tease, laying a strong foundation for the terms ahead.

Term Four shifted the focus to Neo Burlesque with Come Together. Featuring shirts and ties, this routine encouraged bold movement, playful attitude, and contemporary flair, allowing the dancers to confidently explore a more modern burlesque style.

Term Five introduced the graceful art of Feather Fan Burlesque with Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps. Working with feather fans, the Starlets refined their control, timing, and flow, creating performances rich in sophistication and classic tease.

Term Six returned to Classic Burlesque with I Put A Spell On You. Incorporating flowing organza boas, this routine allowed the dancers to explore drama, sensuality, and expressive movement, bringing depth and atmosphere to their performances.

Term Seven focused on preparation for the Burlesque Ball with a show-stopping routine to Take My Love, Take Me. Featuring feather bustles and gloves, this Classic Burlesque performance showcased elegant choreography, strong ensemble work, and confident stage presence.

Term Eight brought the year to a joyful close with a mix of styles and playful creativity. Showgirl Burlesque sparkled with Holly Jolly Christmas, complete with gloves and Santa hats. Sway introduced Bellyesque movement using belly dance fans, while Do You Wanna Touch returned to Neo Burlesque, incorporating chairs and shirts to finish the year with bold confidence and attitude.

Each term challenged the Starlets in new ways, allowing them to grow as performers while celebrating versatility, expression, and the joy of burlesque.

An Evening of Elegance at The Revelry of Tease

The Selby Starlets shone brightly at The Revelry of Tease at Doncaster Little Theatre, delivering a series of unforgettable performances that embodied the heart and artistry of burlesque.

Tity Von Tease captivated the audience with her soulful performance to Feeling Good. Beginning with her back to the audience, she drew everyone into her world of glamour and tease. Dancing with her boa as a playful partner, she teased with precision and charm as rose petals cascaded across the stage during her glove removal. Her perfectly paced bra reveal unleashed thunderous applause as her pasties were unveiled.

Cherry Dynamite brought commanding presence and sharp charisma to The Man. Dressed in a striking black sequin suit with a red trilby and tie, her striptease unfolded with impeccable timing. Each layer removed built anticipation, culminating in a daring reveal of red tassels and glittering pasties in a true masterclass of tease.

Lil Bit O’Booty delivered a seductive and expressive performance to Blue On Black. Clad in purple lingerie with black gloves, suspenders, and stockings, her routine was a slow burn that built to a powerful climax, finishing with confident tasselling in black sequin tassels and celebrating the vibrant spirit of burlesque.

A Night of Seduction and Spectacle at the Burlesque Ball

The Selby Starlets returned to the stage at the 2024 Burlesque Ball, delivering a night filled with standout performances and unforgettable moments.

Pink Champagne enchanted the audience with her silk fan routine to World On Fire. Dressed in black sequin shorts and a red check shirt, her fluid movements and seamless transitions created an ethereal spectacle that held the room in rapt attention.

Harley Queen brought rock-inspired energy and fearless confidence to Fat Bottomed Girls. With playful skirt teases, bold bum rolls, and an explosive reveal of bright pink pants and sparkly tassels, her performance was packed with sass, joy, and attitude.

Scarlett Valentine commanded the stage with dramatic flair in Call Me Cruella. From her luxurious Dalmatian coat to elegant glove removals and a striking black and white silk fan finale, her act was polished, theatrical, and utterly captivating.

Tity Von Tease returned with a heartfelt and mesmerising routine to Beautiful. Beginning in a black robe, she revealed elegant white lingerie, confetti-filled gloves, and personal photographs of the Selby Starlets, creating a playful and emotional tribute that ended in sparkling tassels and rapturous applause.

Jaja Lamore delivered a dynamic buccaneer-themed performance filled with energy and theatrical precision. From sword balancing and dramatic skirt work to vibrant silk fans, her routine built steadily to a powerful finale as she raised her sword high, pirate pasties glittering under the lights, and leaving the audience captivated.

A Show-Stopping Group Performance

The second half burst into life with the Selby Starlets group routine to Take My Love, Take Me. Dressed in pink and black lingerie, Scarlett Valentine, Cherry Dynamite, Pink Champagne, Jaja Lamore, Harley Queen, Tity Von Tease, Bashful Beany, and Phoenix Rose delivered a sultry and playful performance filled with glove work, leg teases, babydoll reveals, feather bustle removals, and a final explosive pasty and tassel reveal that brought the house down.

Celebrating Dedication, Growth, and New Beginnings

The year came to a celebratory close with the Selby Starlets recognising dedication and commitment at the Class Awards 2024.

Star of the Class 2024 was awarded to Tity Von Tease for her focus, commitment, and standout presence throughout the year. Miss Dedicated 2024 was presented to Bashful Beany, celebrating her consistency, reliability, and passion. Miss Most Improved 2024 was awarded to Phoenix Rose, acknowledging her inspiring growth, confidence, and development within the class.

Adding to an already transformative year, the Selby Starlets also embraced an exciting new chapter with their move to Selby Community Centre. The new venue has opened fresh opportunities for creativity, connection, and growth, providing the space for the class to continue evolving together.
