Glamour, Giggles and Glorious Burlesque

Celebrating four fabulous years, the Doncaster Divas have become a sparkling and much-loved part of the Burlesque With Paris community.

Known for their infectious energy, fearless creativity, and brilliant sense of humour, this wonderful group has spent the year embracing new styles, pushing boundaries, and supporting one another every step of the way. From elegant fan work to bold character-led performances, the Divas fourth year has been packed with laughter, growth, and unforgettable moments both in class and on stage.

A Year of Style, Confidence and Self-Expression

The Doncaster Divas enjoyed a rich and varied year of burlesque, with each term introducing new techniques and performance styles that allowed confidence and creativity to flourish.

Term One opened with the elegance of Feather Fan Burlesque as the Divas learned I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You. Using ostrich fans, they explored grace, control, and classic tease, setting a beautifully refined tone for the year.

Term Two shifted into Neo Burlesque with Do You Wanna Touch. Incorporating chairs and shirts, this routine encouraged bold movement, playful attitude, and confident performance.

Term Three introduced Bellyesque with Sway. Using silk fans, the Divas explored fluidity, sensuality, and expressive movement, developing strength and flow while embracing storytelling through dance.

Term Four brought Classic Burlesque glamour with Take My Love, Take Me. Featuring feather bustles and gloves, this routine celebrated timeless elegance, ensemble work, and polished theatricality.

Term Five delivered sparkle and sass with Showgirl Burlesque Viva Las Vegas. Complete with sequin skirts and gloves, this routine brought high-energy performance and joyful showgirl flair into the studio.

Term Six marked the much-loved Summer Sizzler term, where the Divas revisited favourite routines and enjoyed one-night-only performances, embracing creativity, freedom, and fun.

Term Seven focused on preparation for the Burlesque Ball with Wolf and I, a striking Feather Fan Burlesque routine rich in mood, emotion, and visual storytelling.

Term Eight brought the year to a graceful close with a return to Feather Fan Burlesque and Winter Wonderland. Using ostrich fans, the Divas embraced festive elegance and flowing movement, creating a beautiful and polished end to the year.

Each term offered new challenges and triumphs, allowing the Doncaster Divas to grow in confidence, versatility, and stage presence while celebrating their individuality and shared connection.

Drama, Glamour and Confidence at The Revelry of Tease

The Doncaster Divas delivered a bold and captivating showcase at The Revelry of Tease, filling the stage with strong character work, theatrical storytelling, and confident, unapologetic tease.

Opening the night, Beltane Bette set a powerful tone with her dark and daring performance to Enter Sandman. The stage transformed into a haunting childhood bedroom scene, complete with blanket, teddy, and robe, immediately drawing the audience into her story. Beginning asleep with an eye mask in place, she slowly rose as the music built, peeling away layers to reveal a striking black and pink babydoll beneath. Her performance blended vulnerability with strength, culminating in a dramatic and unforgettable exit that earned roaring applause.

The atmosphere shifted to gothic glamour as Lady Fifi Redhead took to the stage with her sultry performance to Black Magic Woman. Dressed as a black bride, she mesmerised the audience with sweeping veil work, hypnotic hip rolls, and a slow, luxurious glove peel. When her skirt finally dropped to reveal divine curves and a perfectly timed bum roll, the crowd erupted with cheers for her dark and seductive presence.

Closing the Divas performances, Salacious Silk brought sass, colour, and playful confidence to the stage with her Western-inspired routine to Pink Pony Club. Dressed in a denim mini skirt, pink boob tube, tasselled gloves, and shimmering silver cowgirl hat, she teased and revealed with cheeky charm. Her confident strip built toward a tassel-twirling finale that had the audience stomping, cheering, and celebrating her fearless energy.

Together, the Doncaster Divas delivered performances filled with drama, humour, glamour, and heart, a true reflection of their growth and sparkle in their fourth year.

Laughter, Elegance, and Connection at the Burlesque Ball

The Doncaster Divas returned to the stage at the Burlesque Ball with performances that blended humour, elegance, and a strong sense of connection, showcasing both individual creativity and group unity.

Beltane Bette delighted the audience with an inventive reverse striptease to 7 O’Clock. Beginning in a corset and knickers, she playfully built her outfit piece by piece, brushing her hair, singing into her hairbrush, applying lipstick, spritzing hairspray, and slipping into long gloves. The addition of a leather jacket and her confident strut offstage had the audience laughing and applauding her impeccable comedic timing.

A beautifully atmospheric group performance followed, featuring Salacious Silk, Cinnamon Star, Beltane Bette, and Vivacious Velma performing to Wolf and I. This haunting Feather Fan Burlesque routine felt both powerful and ethereal. Dressed in soft pink and black costumes and wielding luxurious ostrich fans, they moved as one, creating rippling waves of movement. The back-to-back Mexican wave formation drew audible gasps before the routine built to a dramatic final reveal that earned an eruption of applause.

Together, the Doncaster Divas delivered moments of laughter, beauty, and spellbinding stagecraft, rounding off their Burlesque Ball appearances with confidence, connection, and undeniable flair.

Celebrating Dedication and Growth

The year came to a proud close with the Doncaster Divas celebrating dedication and progress at the Class Awards 2025.

Star of the Class 2025 was awarded to Beltane Bette for her commitment, creativity, and strong presence in class. Miss Dedicated 2025 was presented to Vivacious Velma in recognition of her consistency and passion. Miss Most Improved 2025 was awarded to Cinnamon Star, celebrating her inspiring progress and growing confidence.

These awards reflect the supportive and empowering environment that defines the Doncaster Divas.

Reflecting on our whirlwind journey together, I am filled with immense gratitude for each and every one of you, my dazzling Doncaster Divas. Your energy, creativity, and dedication have transformed every class into a joyful celebration of burlesque.
