Hi, I’d like to introduce myself, known to my friends as Lisa but Sugarboo in the world of Burlesque!

I have always danced from being a little girl and enjoyed many years of ballet, tap, and modern dance. I studied dance at Leeds University and learned about every genre of dance and performance art.

I left dance behind for a long time to pursue a career and family, then found myself in a completely unexpected position. Feeling lost and looking for a new direction, I came across an advertisement for Burlesque with Paris and I took the plunge to get back to one of the things in life I love the most, that is to dance! Four years later, and I haven’t looked back.

As a member of the Hull Honeys and Hull Harlots, I have performed in a number of shows and choreographed my own small group, duet, and solo routines.

Burlesque with Paris has not only reignited my passion for dance but, I have also become a part of an amazing dance family made up of women who don’t take each other’s crowns but help each other to put them back on and shine like the true Queens that they are.

As an instructor, I want to share my passion for the art of burlesque and support other women in becoming the very best versions of themselves, promoting body confidence, self-esteem, empowerment, and of course having a laugh and lots of fun along the way!

I can’t wait to meet you and travel on this fabulous journey of glitter and sparkle together!
