The Burlesque With Paris Burlesque Ball took place on the 3rd of November at Drax Sports and Social Club. It was an evening filled with glamour, seduction, and breathtaking performances by some of the most talented burlesque performers within Burlesque With Paris.

With 240 guests in the audience, the atmosphere was electric, and the energy was one of excitement and anticipation. Months of hard work and preparation had gone into making this night a success, and it was truly a night to remember.

Behind the glamour and allure of the Burlesque With Paris Burlesque Ball lay weeks of meticulous preparation. Every shimmering sequin, each meticulously choreographed step, and the flutter of every feather boa was the result of relentless dedication from our performers. Hours upon hours were spent in rehearsal studios, where dancers practised their routines, ensuring each movement was executed with precision.

The atmosphere backstage was a blend of anticipation and camaraderie, as performers assisted each other with final costume adjustments and make-up touch-ups. Costumes, ranging from elegant corsets to vibrant, feathered headpieces, were carefully laid out, ready to be donned. The performers, though buzzing with nerves, shared moments of encouragement, their bond strengthened by the shared goal of delivering a spectacular show.

The curtain rose to reveal Selby Starlets, who immediately captured the audience's attention with their stunning ensemble of corsets, frilly shorts, and fishnet tights, encapsulating the essence of burlesque allure. Their choice of song, "But I Am A Good Girl," resonated throughout the venue, setting a playful yet provocative tone for the performance. Using chairs and fans with masterful elegance, they navigated the stage, their choreography seamless and their energy infectious. The climax of their act, marked by two of the dancers wearing tassels, was met with an overwhelming surge of applause from the audience. This electric opening act was more than just a performance, it was a bold statement of the tantalising night that lay ahead, setting a high standard for the performances to follow. Their act was a perfect combination of classic burlesque elements with a modern twist, leaving the audience eagerly anticipating what was to come next.

As the spotlight focused on the stage, Lilly Rose emerged, her attire a pristine white that hinted at purity. Amidst an evening already sparkling with variety, Roxie Rocket from Featherstone Follies took it upon herself to add an extra layer of dynamism to the proceedings. Her chosen soundtrack, 'The Greatest Show', set the tone for what was to be a display of sheer energy and intricate dance mastery. Roxie's attire, a striking show jacket complemented by the sleek gleam of a can, mirrored the vivacity and glamour that burlesque embodies. As the lights dimmed, anticipation in the air thickened, setting the stage for the entrance of the Waterloo Wonders. This talented troupe, hailing from Liverpool, brought a fresh vibrancy to the evening with their arrival. Clad in their dazzling costumes of boas, corsets, and sparkly fishnets, they epitomised the essence of group harmony and individual flair, merging both with effortless synchronicity. Their performance to "Welcome To Burlesque" was nothing short of spectacular, showcasing not only their remarkable talent in dance but also their ability to connect with each other and the audience on a profound level.

The choreography, a seamless blend of classic burlesque moves and modern twists, spoke volumes of their creativity and meticulous preparation. Each movement was executed with precision, yet carried a fluidity that allowed their personalities to shine through, engaging the audience every step of the way.
