The Burlesque With Paris Annual Show

The Burlesque With Paris Burlesque Ball was on the 3rd of November at Drax Sports and Social Club. It was a fantastic night with 240 guests in the audience and by the far the greatest show we have hosted so far….

Months of hard work had led up to this night from all of our performers, the shimmying, the pointing toes, the fluttering of fans and twirling boas, all in the name of burlesque.

The changing room was full of performers filled with nerves and anticipation waiting to take to the stage for their showcase performances, some solo performances, and some group performances but all in the spirit of all things glamorous and their burlesque finery.

The stage lights came on and the curtains were drawn back ready for our first performers to take to the stage, Selby Starlets. They looked ravishing in their corsets and ruffle shorts with fishnet tights and they put on a show stopper of a performance to But I Am A Good Girl. Dancing with chairs and fans with two ladies finishing in tassels. It was a spectacular performance and what a way to start the show. They finished with a raucous round of applause and my god the audience knew they had come to a burlesque show!

A big well done to Scarlett Valentine and Atomic Velvet as they are the second two ladies of Burlesque With Paris to go down to nipple tassels.

Next to take to the stage was Lilly Rose. She came out dressed in white with the look of innocence and when the music started she flew into her solo performance dropping into the splits adding some bump and grind to wow the audience before finishing with silk fans. The audience was captivated and the room roared with applause.

Next to take to the stage was Roxie Rocket from Featherstone Follies. She ignited the stage with her solo performance to The Greatest Show filling it with high energy and complex footwork, dancing with a can and looking incredibly sublime in her show jacket. The audience roared and the diversity of burlesque soon became apparent.

Phoenix Flame from Goole Goddesses then stepped onto the stage and Mary Poppings had entered the building. The music started and Mary Poppings started taking off her clothes to reveal firey red hair and lots of flesh with a colourful twirling umbrella and a tun of glitter. The audience didn’t expect that and they roared with applause.

Sassy Emerald from Selby Starlets bump and grinded across the stage to Excuse My French. Dressed in her corset and lace shorts looking sassy and desirable as she removed her gloves and wowed the audience with her boa technique. The audience’s applause filled the room.

Then we had Purple Passion, Atomic Velvet, Tantalizing Topaz, Rosy Valentine and Ria A’mour from Selby Starlets take to the stage with a cabaret routine that was fun entertaining and classy. The audience was filled with smiles and cheer and these 5 ladies danced to That Man with their show jackets and trilby sequin hats.

Paris Chantilly performed her traditional 1920’s Pearl De La Mere routine with her giant clamshell twirling across the stage with her peach ostrich boa removing her dress to reveal her corset and pearlized costume. If that wasn’t enough she finished inside the clamshell with a glitter pour to reveal her sparkly tassels. The audience ignited and there was an almighty applause.

Khandie Khisses one of the biggest names in burlesque was our star guest of the evening. No one was ready for the fierce high energized routine that she brought to the stage. The audience was filled with excitement and the room came to life with a roar of applause.

That was the end of the first half of the show and what a first half to a burlesque show it was. It definitely taught the audience that with burlesque you should always expect the unexpected.

The audience refilled their drinks and had their toilet break to get back to their seats ready for the second half to begin. The atmosphere was incredible while all of the performers for the second half of the show were in the changing rooms getting ready to take to the stage.

The stage lights came on and the curtains were drawn back and the Waterloo Wonders all the way from Liverpool took to the stage with their boas looking absolutely incredible in their corsets and sparkly fishnets to perform and dance to Welcome To Burlesque. The audience roared with applause and the second half hand now begun.

Scarlett Valentine from Selby Starlets stepped onto the stage with her gold isis wings revealing her purple sequined costume underneath. She looked beautiful and the audience cheered as she moved around across the stage twirling with her isis wings and finishing with her twirling tassels to Bird Set Free.

Goole Goddesses then took to the stage with Thriller. We had sexy corsets and sequined zombies as you have never seen before as they performed their frightly routine. They were incredible and the audience cheered with applause as their tassels were revealed to finish.

Pixie Bella from Selby Starlets took to the stage in her grunge costume and spiky bra dancing her routine with a chair being a dominatrix and demanding the attention of everyone in the audience. She was incredible and the audience loved her and roared with applause as she revealed her tassels.

Featherstone Follies were the lady killers of the night and they performed to Cell Block Tango and OMG what an incredible performance it was. The audience came to life as they made their mark on stage with their lip sinking seductive routine in their corsets, stockings, and tights. The room ignited and the applause was incredible.

Princess Amethyst, Emerald Mistress and Bella Donna from Goole Goddesses performed Hocus Pocus I Put A Spell On You and they were the sexy 3 witches of the night. Their sequined tassel bras and organza skirts went down a storm as they entertained the audience. The audience was full of smiles and cheer as they performed their routine and they put on a show stopper of a performance.

Paris Chantilly returned to the stage with her Dark Lady fan dance with her peacock fans and dark gemmed costume dropping to the floor to get into her fan clamshell. The audience cheered and applauded as she glided across the stage as the dark lady sorceress.

Khandie Khisses was then back to finish the show with another high energized routine knee sliding across the floor whilst removing her costume to reveal her tassels. The audience came to life and she received an almighty applause and finished the show with a bang with everyone on the edge of their seats. She was the perfect ending to our Greatest Show.

Needless to say, The Burlesque With Paris Burlesque Ball was a hit! The Burlesque With Paris Students had wowed the audience with their spectacular performances and all of their burlesque finery. Every member of the audience was filled with joy and said it was a fabulous evening they had had and could not wait until the next one.

Our students had achieved what they set out to achieve and Khandie Khisses said she thoroughly enjoyed working with them all and what an incredible job they had all done and they should all be proud of themselves.

Our ladies may not be burlesque international superstars who travel the world performing but do you know what! They are The Burlesque With Paris Superstars of 2018!

The 2019 show is going to be incredible so watch this space!

It’s magical to see and extraordinary to watch.
