Today we proudly celebrate the first anniversary of the Goole Goddesses, marking a truly special year within the Burlesque With Paris family. It feels almost unbelievable that a whole year has passed since this wonderful class first came together. In that time, the Goole Goddesses have grown into a close-knit group of incredible women, supporting one another, building confidence, and creating unforgettable memories both in class and on stage.

The Birth of Goole Goddesses
The Goole Goddesses were born from a shared passion for burlesque and a desire to create a welcoming space where women could explore dance, creativity, and self-expression without judgement. From the very first class, there was an undeniable sense of excitement as dancers from all walks of life came together, united by curiosity and courage.
As the weeks unfolded, friendships formed and confidence blossomed. What began as a group of individuals quickly evolved into a strong and supportive collective. Each class became a space to step away from everyday life and into a world of glamour, empowerment, and creative freedom. The Goole Goddesses were not simply learning routines; they were discovering their strength, embracing vulnerability, and learning to shine unapologetically.

First Stop: The Burlesque Ball
A major milestone in the Goole Goddesses’ first year was their debut at the Burlesque Ball, held at Drax Sports and Social Club. This performance was the culmination of months of hard work, rehearsals, and growing confidence.
Under the stage lights, the Goddesses delivered performances filled with elegance, playfulness, and bold burlesque charm. From captivating fan dances to teasing glove peels, each routine embodied the spirit of burlesque and the joy the dancers had found within it. Their presence on stage was powerful, telling stories of confidence, freedom, and self-expression that resonated deeply with the audience.
This debut performance was more than a show, it was a declaration of empowerment and a proud moment in the Goole Goddesses’ journey.
The Journey Continues at The Revelry of Tease
Building on their momentum, the Goole Goddesses next took to the stage at The Revelry of Tease, held at Victoria Social Club. This performance marked another important step in their evolution, showcasing just how far they had come in such a short space of time.
With shimmering costumes, confident choreography, and a growing sense of stage presence, the Goddesses captivated the audience with performances that blended classic burlesque elements with modern flair. Each act reflected dedication, creativity, and the courage to step fully into the spotlight. The cheers and applause that followed were a testament to their growth and artistic development.

Dancing Memories: Routines and Props
Throughout their first year, the Goole Goddesses explored the magic of burlesque through a variety of routines and props, learning how small details can transform a performance. From the flick of a glove to the dramatic reveal behind an ostrich fan, each routine added a new layer to their skill set and confidence.
Over the year, the Goole Goddesses mastered a wonderful selection of routines, including Welcome to Burlesque with gloves and boas, Feeling Good with ostrich fans, Back in Time with coin skirts, and Candyman using canes. They also explored chair work with But I Am a Good Girl and finished the year on a festive high with a joyful show routine to Santa Baby and Jingle Bell Rock.
Each routine represented a step forward in their journey, building technique, creativity, and self-belief.
One Incredible Year of Goole Goddesses
In just one year, the Goole Goddesses have built something truly special. They have grown in confidence, forged lasting friendships, and discovered the empowering magic of burlesque together. This first year has laid the foundation for many more moments of sparkle, strength, and celebration to come.
