Burlesque Ball - 9th November 2019

The Burlesque With Paris Annual Show

The Burlesque With Paris Burlesque Ball was on the 9th of November at Drax Sports and Social Club. It was an incredible night with 240 guests in the audience and I have to say it gets better and better every year…

It’s been lots of hard work and dedication from all of our burlesque lovelies leading up to the show but it’s been lots of fun with lots of shimmying, lots of twirling boas, and fluttering fans, and all for the love of burlesque.

It was finally here and all of our performers were filled with nerves and excitement as they filled the dressing room getting into their sparkly glitzy costumes ready for taking to the stage.

All of the guests started arriving getting their drinks from the bar and taking to their seats ready for the show to begin. The lights were dimmed, the stage lights lit up the stage as the curtains were drawn back, the room started to quiet from all of the excitable chatter and everyone knew the show was about to begin.

The Dream Girls stepped onto the stage with a glorious reception from our audience as they worked their magic igniting the room with excitement. It was time for our first performers of the night to take to the stage.

The Selby Sirens stepped onto the stage to perform ‘I Just Want To Make Love To You’, dressed in their corsets, ruffle shorts, fishnet, and patterned tights looking sexy and divine while they twirled their boas, sprinkling rose petals across the stage and removing their gloves. They started the night with a bang and came out to impress… and impress they did! The audience went wild and the room echoed with applause and cheer as the Sirens danced through their routine in their sassy Siren style. They were all incredible and what a way to start our student showcase show.

The stage lights came on and the curtains were drawn back and the while our performers of the second half were finishing getting into their costumes it was time to involve the partners and husbands in all things burlesque. Six men were picked out of the audience and stepped onto the stage to perform their boylesque ‘Welcome To Burlesque’ routine with Paris Chantilly dancing in front of them on the dance floor. As you can see by the photos and the smiles on their faces they entered into the spirit of burlesque and wowed the audience with their efforts and boa techniques.
