This first year has flown by and what a fabulous class the Selby Sirens are. It is full of supportive encouraging ladies who thoroughly enjoy their class each and every week. They have all supported each other throughout the year and they have all achieved some spectacular things.
Some of our Selby Sirens took part in our first charity event which was on the 27th of January 2019. It was an incredible weekend and Selby Sirens worked with Selby Starlets and Featherstone Follies for the day to be involved with our first charity calendar. It was lots of fun and everyone who got involved made it a spectacular incredible day.

Some of our sassy Sirens have taken the opportunity to have our Burlesque Make Over and Photo Shoot in January and March 2019 and their photos were amazing. They all looked absolutely stunning and incredibly beautiful and really enjoyed the experience.

Selby Sirens took part in their first student showcase show which was on the 30th March 2019 at the Victoria Social Club in Goole. It was a magical show and Selby Sweethearts worked alongside the Featherstone Follies, Selby Starlets and Goole Goddesses to give the audience a night of spectacular burlesque. We had small group performances from Selby Sweethearts Pink Champagne, Havana Hepburn, Heather Ann Lace, and Atomic Velvet. They were all bloody amazing and wowed the audience in their performances, the audience said what a spectacular show it was and they all thoroughly enjoyed it.

In April 2019 we moved from River Mills Ballroom to Studio 18 to give us more space in class to dance in and everyone loved the new studio.
On the 10th May, 2019 Pink Champagne and Havana Hepburn performed at our first student showcase in Hull at Cleveland Club with Cinnamon Satin from Selby Starlets.

Some of our Sirens took part in the Tesco Dance Beats charity event. They worked alongside Goole Goddesses, and Selby Starlets and danced in the Tesco superstore in Goole on Friday night, on the 19th of July. Dance Beats is Tesco's biggest ever fundraiser to celebrate 100 years of Tesco. The money raised will go to their partner charities Cancer Research, British Heart Foundation, and Diabetes UK. It was a fabulous night and lots of fun and we thoroughly entertained all of the shoppers and had their children joining in with the dancing.

We moved studios again in October to give us more space to dance in. We moved to The Studios and this will be our final move and the Sirens home. Everyone loves the new venue and it definitely has everything we need.
They have had a full year of amazing routines dancing with a variety of different props and they have enjoyed them all. This year they have learned:

I Just Want To Make Love To You was the class favourite so we re-choreographed the routine and turned it into a show routine which they performed at the Annual Show which was on the 9th November at Drax Social Club. More of our spectacular sirens took to the stage to perform solo performances. They were all magnificent and it was an incredible show to watch.

It has been a incredible year and all of the Selby Sirens should be so proud of everything they have accomplished this year and just because each and every one of them make these classes so much fun and enjoyable for everyone who is in them.
If your wanting to come and join in the Selby Sirens class everyone is welcome. Our class is for ladies of all ages, shapes, sizes and abilities, and just watch your confidence grow. It's amazing what you can learn about yourself and you will soon learn to be your own kind of beautiful!
