Celebrating Two Years of Hull Honeys

Two Years of Glitter, Garters and Good Times

Welcome to the world of Hull Honeys, where glitter, confidence, and burlesque joy take centre stage. Founded by Paris Chantilly, Hull Honeys has grown into a vibrant and empowering burlesque class, celebrating two fabulous years of creativity, self-expression, and sisterhood. As we mark this anniversary, it’s the perfect moment to reflect on the journey so far and the unforgettable moments shared along the way.

The Journey Begins Celebrating Two Incredible Years

In just two years, Hull Honeys has blossomed into far more than a dance class. It has become a welcoming community where women come together to explore burlesque, support one another, and celebrate their individuality. From first tentative steps into the studio to confident, show stopping performances, every moment has been part of a shared journey of growth, empowerment, and joy. Laughter, encouragement, and friendship have been woven into every rehearsal, creating a space where confidence flourishes and connections run deep.

The 2019 Burlesque Ball Show

A standout highlight of the year was the 2019 Burlesque Ball Show at Drax Social Club. Performing to Feeling Good, the Hull Honeys delivered a polished and captivating class routine that perfectly embodied the elegance and tease of burlesque. Playing to a full audience of 240 guests, the energy in the room was electric as the performers took to the stage with confidence and flair. The applause was thunderous, and the performance left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.

A Proud Award Winning Moment

That unforgettable performance led to an incredible achievement, with Hull Honeys being awarded Best Class Group Performance. This recognition marked a major milestone for the class and celebrated the dedication, teamwork, and passion poured into every rehearsal. Winning this award was not just about the routine, but about the journey, growth, and collective spirit of the Hull Honeys.

A Year of Glorious Routines

Throughout the year, Hull Honeys explored a variety of routines that showcased their versatility and confidence. Feeling Good became their signature annual show routine, while But I Am A Good Girl introduced playful storytelling with gloves, skirts, and chairs. Their Pink Panther and 007 inspired showcase routine added drama and intrigue, further expanding their burlesque repertoire. Each routine brought new challenges, new skills, and new opportunities to shine.

Dancing Through Difficult Times

When the global pandemic forced classes to close, Hull Honeys met the challenge with resilience and creativity. Transitioning to online Zoom classes allowed the group to stay connected and continue dancing together, even from afar. The Quarantease Lounge Shows became a new way to perform, proving that burlesque spirit cannot be confined by physical spaces. Through it all, the bond within Hull Honeys only grew stronger.
