The Grand Opening A Night to Remember

On the 13th of January 2022, Hull Harlots officially opened its doors and marked the beginning of a powerful new burlesque journey. From that very first evening, the room was filled with excitement, nerves, and anticipation as the class came together to explore burlesque in a space built on empowerment and creativity.

The 6th of May 2022 marked a huge milestone as Hull Harlots took to the stage at The Revelry of Tease Show at the Girnhill Club in Featherstone. For several performers, this was their very first time stepping into the spotlight, making the evening especially meaningful.

Scarlett Vixen, Honey Petites, Kitty Darling, and Holli Daze delivered captivating performances filled with confidence, sass, and storytelling. The Burlesque Ball Show on the 12th of November 2022 at Drax Sports and Social Club was a glittering highlight of the year. Hull Harlots delivered two stunning group performances to Smash and I Put A Spell On You, captivating the audience with polished choreography, striking costumes, and undeniable stage presence.

The evening also featured unforgettable solo and double performances from Honey Petites, Scarlett Vixen, Crimson Babydoll, Holli Daze, and Kitty Darling. Each act brought its own energy and flair, showcasing the depth of talent within the class. The applause and audience reaction reflected the powerful connection created between performer and crowd, making the night truly unforgettable.

The first year of Hull Harlots concluded with well-deserved recognition at the Class Awards. These awards celebrate dedication, growth, and commitment shown in class throughout the year.

Honey Petites was named Star of the Class 2022, recognised for her strong performances and consistent passion. Crystal Tips received Miss Dedicated 2022, honouring her commitment and hard work week after week. Dolores Moon was awarded Miss Most Improved 2022, celebrating her remarkable journey and growing confidence on stage.

These awards reflect not only individual achievements but the encouraging and empowering environment that Hull Harlots continues to foster.

A Year of Choreography and Creative Growth

Throughout their first year, Hull Harlots explored a rich variety of burlesque routines and styles. The journey began with Welcome to Burlesque using gloves and boas, followed by the playful tease of Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps with ostrich fans. Classic glamour was embraced in That Man and All That Jazz with trilby hats and fringe skirts, while Shivas Regal introduced bump skirts and gloves.

The Burlesque Ball routines Smash and I Put A Spell On You allowed the class to refine performance quality and stage presence using ostrich fans, gloves, and boas. The festive routine It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas added seasonal sparkle to an already impressive repertoire.

Each routine brought new skills, confidence, and opportunities for growth, shaping Hull Harlots into a strong and dynamic burlesque class.
