On a crisp evening, the 13th of January 2022 heralded the launch of Hull Harlots, a momentous occasion that set the tone for an extraordinary year ahead. An evening that unfurled as a spectacle of firsts, it witnessed several of our Hull Harlots stepping into the limelight for their debut performances. The club was abuzz, brimming with an audience keenly anticipating the eclectic mix of burlesque talent on display. Scarlett Vixen, Honey Petites, Kitty Darling, and Holli Daze emerged as the stars of the night, their performances encapsulating the essence of burlesque with a perfect blend of allure, sass, and skill. Draped in elegance and enveloped in an air of sophistication, the Burlesque Ball Show on the 12th of November 2022 was a standout event, showcasing the exceptional talent of the Hull Harlots. Hosted at Drax Sports and Social club, the evening was a celebration of burlesque at its most enchanting. Illuminated under the spotlight, our Harlots captivated the audience with two group performances that were nothing short of spectacular, bringing to life the enthralling melodies of 'SMASH' and the hauntingly beautiful 'I Put A Spell On You'. Each act was meticulously crafted, blending choreography and costume in a mesmerising display of artistry.

Honey Petites was celebrated as the Star Of The Class 2022, a tribute to her shining commitment and exceptional performances that have captivated us all year. Crystal Tips earned the title of Miss Dedicated 2022, reflecting her unwavering commitment and the countless hours she has devoted to perfecting her art. This acknowledgement speaks volumes of her passion and the inspiration she has been to us all. Dolores Moon's journey over the past year has been truly remarkable, earning her the Miss Most Improved 2022 award. Witnessing her transformation and seeing her confidence flourish on stage has been a joy for everyone involved. These awards not only highlight the individual journeys and achievements of our Hull Harlots but also symbolise the supportive and empowering environment we’ve nurtured within our classes. It's these moments of recognition that underscore the essence of our collective, celebrating not just the glitz and glamour but the hard work, resilience, and spirit that form the bedrock of the Hull Harlots.

This year, our spirited Hull Harlots embraced an array of choreographed numbers, each infused with its own distinct flair and personality. From the sensual rhythms of 'Welcome To Burlesque', adorned with gloves and boas, to the coy and flirtatious tones of 'Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps', enhanced by the use of ostrich fans, our dancers have delved into a diverse performance repertoire. The charismatic 'That Man', and 'All That Jazz' brought the retro chic of trilby hats and fringe skirts into our array, proving that classic styles never fade. 'Shivas Regal' introduced bump skirts and gloves, adding a touch of vintage glamour, while the Burlesque Ball show routines 'SMASH' and 'I Put A Spell On You' saw our performers wielding ostrich fans and boas with renewed vigour and finesse.
