Glamour, Laughter and Unforgettable Burlesque Moments

The Doncaster Divas have reached their third year with Burlesque With Paris, and what a joyful, glitter-filled journey it has been.

This vibrant class has brought glamour, laughter, and infectious energy to every weekly session, creating a space where creativity thrives and confidence blossoms. From the very first warm-up to the final pose of each routine, the Doncaster Divas have embraced burlesque with enthusiasm, humour, and heart. Every class has been a celebration of movement, expression, and shared joy, making their third year one to truly treasure.

A Year Filled with Creativity, Props, and Performance

The Doncaster Divas enjoyed a wonderfully varied year, with each term introducing new routines, props, and performance styles that kept classes exciting and ever evolving.

Term One opened with Love For Sale, featuring the elegant handling of umbrellas. This routine set a tone of sophistication and allure, allowing the dancers to explore character, control, and classic burlesque tease.

Term Two brought softness and grace with Cover Me In Sunshine. Using silk veil fans, the Divas floated through the routine with fluid movement and gentle musicality, creating an ethereal and visually beautiful performance.

Term Three introduced polished style with Come Together. Shirts and ties gave the routine a refined edge, encouraging confident posture, playful character work, and sharp, expressive movement.

Term Four leaned into timeless burlesque charm with Feeling Good. Featuring boas, this routine allowed the Divas to embody flirtation, elegance, and old-world glamour, filling the studio with confident sway and classic tease.

Term Five reignited playful energy with Car Wash, bringing back silk veil fans in a lively and spirited routine that encouraged bold movement and joyful performance.

Term Six transported the class into vintage glamour with All That Jazz. Trilby hats and fringe skirts captured the essence of a bygone era, allowing the Divas to explore theatricality, rhythm, and character-driven movement.

Term Seven marked a powerful shift with the Dangerous Woman show routine. Featuring bump skirts and gloves, this routine embraced boldness, confidence, and intensity, drawing the dancers into a commanding and magnetic performance style.

Term Eight closed the year on a festive high with Holly Jolly Christmas. Gloves and Santa hats added playful charm and seasonal sparkle, bringing warmth, laughter, and joy to the final term of the year.

Across every term, the Doncaster Divas embraced new challenges with enthusiasm, building versatility, confidence, and performance quality while enjoying every moment of the journey.

Taking Centre Stage at The Revelry of Tease

11th May 2024

The Revelry of Tease at Doncaster Little Theatre was a standout highlight of the year, delivering a sell-out evening packed with talent, artistry, and captivating performances.

Lady Fifi Red Head and Belladonna Rose mesmerised the audience with their performance to Calm Down, blending strength and grace with seamless chemistry. Von Yr Neez created a moment of quiet intensity with The Sound of Silence, drawing the audience into a deeply reflective and emotive performance.

Beltane Bette added a sense of wonder with her Isis wings performance, filling the stage with shimmering movement and mystique. Salacious Silk followed with a dreamlike rendition of Wildest Dreams, her controlled movement and expressive presence holding the audience spellbound.

Throughout the evening, each performer brought their own unique style and flair to the stage, creating a diverse and engaging showcase. The Doncaster Divas performances reflected the dedication, creativity, and passion nurtured within their classes, with the audience responding in rapturous applause.

The Revelry of Tease was not simply a show, but an immersive experience that celebrated humour, sophistication, and the magic of burlesque.

Bringing Burlesque to the Hit The Road Fun Day

The Hit The Road Fun Day in Stainforth was a lively and vibrant event, with the Doncaster Divas bringing their distinctive flair to the celebrations.

Their performance of Car Wash, enhanced by elegant silk veil fan work, quickly became a crowd favourite. The choreography combined fluid movement with playful energy, perfectly capturing the song's spirit and delighting the audience.

Beyond the stage, the Doncaster Divas also took on pin-up modelling roles alongside an impressive display of vintage cars. Their retro-inspired outfits, confident poses, and warm interaction with attendees created a welcoming and joyful atmosphere, adding a nostalgic charm to the day and strengthening connections with the local community.

A Night of Elegance at the Burlesque Ball

16th November 2024

The Burlesque Ball at Doncaster Little Theatre was a glittering highlight of the year, hosted by the ever-charismatic Khandie Khisses and filled with unforgettable performances.

The Doncaster Divas delivered a powerful class routine to Dangerous Woman, dazzling the audience with their bump skirts and gloves. Their confident presence and polished performance reflected the hard work and dedication poured into the routine throughout the term.

Solo performances added an extra layer of magic to the evening. Beltane Bette ignited the stage with Fire Woman, delivering intensity and strength with a commanding presence. Lady Fifi Redhead brought glamour and sophistication to Why Don’t You Do Right, captivating the audience with elegant movement and expressive storytelling.

Salacious Silk injected lively energy with We’re Going to Ibiza, while Von Yr Neez and Penny Dreadful left a haunting impression with They Call Me Devil. Ruby Rose closed the solo performances with a deeply emotive rendition of Escapism, delivering elegance and emotional depth that resonated throughout the theatre.

Each act contributed to an evening filled with variety, artistry, and excitement, perfectly capturing the spirit of burlesque.

Celebrating Commitment and Confidence

The Doncaster Divas Class Awards 2024 celebrated the dedication and growth shown throughout the year.

Lady Fifi Redhead was awarded Star of the Class in recognition of her consistently captivating performances. Miss Dedicated was presented to Rose Nefertiti for her unwavering commitment and passion. Miss Most Improved was awarded to Cinnamon Star, celebrating her inspiring journey of confidence and development.

These awards reflect the supportive and empowering environment that defines the Doncaster Divas and Burlesque With Paris.

Three Incredible Years of Doncaster Divas

Three years on, the Doncaster Divas continue to shine as a confident, creative, and supportive burlesque community. Their journey is filled with laughter, empowerment, and artistic growth, and this third year has delivered countless moments to cherish.
