The third year with Doncaster Divas has been a whirlwind of glamour and excitement. The weekly burlesque classes have been nothing short of enchanting, filled with laughter, and the infectious energy of the group has created an atmosphere of joy and creativity. Every class was a step into a world where elegance meets exuberance, and each session brought with it a chance to learn and perfect new routines that were as diverse as they were engaging.

A Year Of Unforgettable Routines And Props…

The routines throughout the year were a vibrant blend of creativity and skill, each themed term bringing its unique flavour. "Love For Sale" opened with the handling of umbrellas, setting the tone with a hint of allure. Moving into "Cover Me In Sunshine," the silk veil fans added an element of grace and fluidity, allowing the dancers to float elegantly across the classroom.

In Term 3, "Come Together" introduced shirts and ties, giving the routine a polished and sophisticated edge. The following term, "Feeling Good," featured the timeless elegance of boas, bringing a touch of old-world charm to the routine. The energy was palpable as the dancers swayed and twirled, embodying the classic essence of burlesque.

The "Car Wash" term reignited the playful spirit with the reintroduction of silk veil fans, encouraging lively and spirited movements that would have captivated any audience. Transitioning into "All That Jazz," the performers donned trilby hats and fringe skirts, effortlessly capturing the spirit of vintage glamour. The props and costumes played a crucial role in transporting the Doncaster Divas to a bygone era of glitz and sophistication.

"Dangerous Woman Show Routine" saw the dancers embracing their bold and confident sides, with bump skirts and gloves enhancing their allure. This term was marked by an undeniable intensity and magnetism, drawing themselves into a powerful performance.

As the festive season approached, "Holly Jolly Christmas" infused the routines with holiday cheer. The dancers donned gloves and Santa hats, bringing a joyful and whimsical touch to the end of the year. Von Yr Neez brought a poignant and introspective atmosphere with their rendition of "The Sound Of Silence," drawing the audience into a moment of reflective stillness. Beltane Bette added a layer of mystique to the evening with her enigmatic performance using Isis wings, which shimmered and floated, creating an ethereal spectacle that enchanted the crowd.

Salacious Silk's "Wildest Dreams" was another unforgettable act, her movements perfectly synchronised with the music, evoking a sense of dreamy allure that held the audience in rapt attention. The Hit The Road Fun Day on 4th August 2024 in Stainforth, Doncaster, was a lively and vibrant event, with the Doncaster Divas bringing their distinctive flair to the proceedings. Their performance of "Car Wash," enhanced by the elegant use of silk veil fans, quickly became a highlight of the day, drawing enthusiastic applause from the crowd. The Divas' choreography was impeccable, combining fluid movements with a playful energy that perfectly encapsulated the spirit of the song. The atmosphere was electric, with attendees captivated by the seamless blend of dance and theatricality.

Adding to the day's allure, the Doncaster Divas took on the roles of pin-up models, posing with an impressive array of vintage cars. The Doncaster Divas presented a thrilling class performance to "Dangerous Woman," dazzling the audience with their bump skirts and gloves. Their routine was a testament to their hard work and dedication, exuding confidence and allure that captivated everyone present.

Solo acts added extra magic to the evening, showcasing the incredible talent within the Doncaster Divas. Beltane Bette set the stage ablaze with her powerful rendition of "Fire Woman by The Cult," combining intensity and grace. Lady Fifi Redhead brought sophistication and glamour to her performance of "Why Don’t You Do Right by Jessica Rabbit," enchanting the audience with her poised movements.

Salacious Silk's lively performance of "We’re Going To Ibiza" had everyone tapping their feet, bringing a burst of energy to the stage. Cinnamon Star was awarded Miss Most Improved 2024, marking her impressive journey of growth and skill enhancement.
