Happy 3rd anniversary to my Glamorous Goole Goddesses. It’s been another incredible year for the Goole Goddesses and another year of fun, shows, amazing routines, spectacular props, frilly knickers, and sparkling tassels. As the founder of Burlesque With Paris, I am so proud of how far the Goole Goddesses have come and the achievements they have accomplished over the past three years. Let's take a look back at some of the highlights and achievements of this triumphant third year.

Dance Beats Charity Event - 19th July 2019

Celebrating Community Spirit At Tesco Dance Beats…

A remarkable highlight of our year was when the Goole Goddesses took part in the Tesco Dance Beats charity event, a grand celebration of Tesco's centenary. This event was not just a display of our dance prowess but a meaningful engagement with the broader community, coming together for a commendable cause. On a vibrant Friday night in July, our Goddesses joined forces with the Selby Stralets and Selby Sirens, bringing a burst of energy and enthusiasm to the Tesco superstore in Goole. The aim was to support the incredible work of charities such as Cancer Research, British Heart Foundation, and Diabetes UK through Tesco's most significant fundraising initiative.

The store transformed into an impromptu dance arena, with our routines captivating the attention of shoppers. It was a sight to behold as even the youngest attendees couldn't resist joining in, turning the evening into a community dance spectacle. The energy was infectious, with laughter and applause filling the air, truly embodying the spirit of giving and community support.

This participation in Tesco Dance Beats was a testament to the commitment of our Goole Goddesses not only to their art but also to making a difference in the community. It showcased their versatility and readiness to step out of the traditional performance spaces and into the heart of the community, where they could directly impact and uplift spirits. Engaging with the community in such a direct and lively manner was an enriching experience for our Goole Goddesses, further strengthening their bond as a group and with the people of Goole. Through dance, we were able to contribute to a noble cause, demonstrating that the spirit of burlesque can extend far beyond the stage, touching hearts and making a lasting difference.

A Night To Remember The Burlesque Ball Show…

Undoubtedly, the crown jewel of our celebratory year was the Burlesque Ball Show hosted at Drax Social Club. This event was not just a show, it was a manifestation of the tireless dedication and boundless talent of our Goole Goddesses. The evening was electric, charged with the anticipation of the 240 guests who filled the venue, eagerly awaiting the spectacle promised to them. And what a spectacle it was!

Goole Goddesses, in all their resplendent glory, graced the stage, presenting not only a unified class routine but also delivering mesmerising small group and solo performances. Each act was a testament to the journey of growth and empowerment these incredible women have embarked upon. From the moment the curtains lifted until the final bow, the air was thick with enchantment, each performance weaving a captivating spell over the audience.

The Burlesque Ball Show, with its dazzling array of costumes, finely tuned choreographies, and an undeniable aura of confidence exuded by each performer, was a celebration of femininity, artistry, and the collective spirit of our Goole Goddesses. Feedback from those in attendance lauded the show as not just entertainment, but an experience, an unforgettable one at that. Many guests expressed their awe, labelling the night as The Greatest Show they've witnessed, highlighting the sheer magnitude of effort and passion poured into making the event a resounding success.

In a year filled with memorable moments, the Burlesque Ball Show stands out as a pinnacle of achievement. It encapsulated the essence of what it means to be a part of the Goole Goddesses, a blend of individual brilliance and shared commitment to uplifting one another, all while captivating hearts and igniting imaginations. The journey of the Goole Goddesses this year has been adorned with an impressive array of new routines and the introduction of a variety of captivating props. These tools have not only embellished their performances but also broadened the spectrum of their artistic expression. The Impact Of Coronavirus On Our Plans…

The global pandemic presented an unprecedented challenge, necessitating a pause on our eagerly anticipated Revelry Of Tease show. With safety as our paramount concern, we had no choice but to postpone this much-loved event, a decision that, whilst difficult, was made with the health of our Goole Goddesses, our audience, and the wider Burlesque With Paris community in mind. This unforeseen hiatus has not dampened our spirits but rather reinforced the importance of our craft and the joy it brings to so many.

During this period of pause, our commitment to the art of burlesque and to each other has only strengthened. Goole Goddesses have turned to virtual rehearsals and online gatherings to maintain their connection and continue honing their skills, ensuring that when the time comes, they will return to the stage more vibrant and dynamic than ever. This temporary setback has also provided an opportunity for reflection on the essence of our performances and the resilience of our Burlesque With Paris and Goole Goddesses community.

Every member of Goole Goddesses, with their distinctive voice and story, enriches our collective, forging a space that champions diversity and creativity.
