5 Years Of Tease The Selby Sirens Anniversary Extravaganza
Welcome to the fifth anniversary celebration of the Selby Sirens where glamour, sass, and empowerment take centre stage. Founded by Paris Chantilly as part of Burlesque With Paris, the Selby Sirens have spent five fabulous years building confidence, creativity, and community through the art of burlesque. This milestone marks not only an anniversary, but a journey of growth, self expression, and unforgettable performances.
Term 7 - It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas
A Year of Dazzling Routines
Over the past year, the Selby Sirens embraced a beautifully diverse range of burlesque styles, with each term offering something new to explore. From classic elegance to bold contemporary flair, the Sirens demonstrated versatility, passion, and ever growing confidence with every routine.
The year began with Classic Burlesque as the Sirens cast their spell with I Put A Spell On You, using gloves and boas to master tease, timing, and character. This was followed by the intensity of Bump and Grind Burlesque with Fire In My Head, where gloves and capes added drama and power to their movement.
Feather Fan Burlesque then took centre stage, with ostrich fans creating striking silhouettes in Smash. The Sirens went on to pay homage to burlesque history with Welcome To Burlesque, before stepping into Broadway Burlesque with All That Jazz, combining trilby hats and fringe skirts with theatrical storytelling.
The year continued with a bold step into Neo Burlesque through Hot In Herre, blending bump skirts and gloves for a modern twist, before returning to Classic Burlesque glamour with Fever, featuring gloves and sequin skirts. The festive season closed the year in spectacular style with It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas, where ostrich fans brought sparkle, elegance, and festive joy.
Each term not only expanded the Sirens’ technical skills but strengthened friendships and confidence, reinforcing burlesque as a powerful tool for self expression and empowerment.

On 25th March 2023, The Revelry of Tease provided the perfect platform for the Selby Sirens to shine. Heather Ann Lace, Delicious Denise, Bubblez Byzance, Amethyst Allure, and Emerald Divine took to the stage, each delivering a signature performance rich in personality and style.
Their acts blended classic burlesque traditions with modern interpretations, captivating the audience through storytelling, emotion, and confident tease. Each Siren brought her own voice to the stage, creating a showcase that celebrated individuality while highlighting the collective strength of the group. It was a standout moment in an already unforgettable evening.

A Spectacular Showcase At The Burlesque Ball 2023
The Burlesque Ball 2023 at Drax Sports and Social Club was a true celebration of burlesque artistry. The Selby Sirens delivered two powerful group routines to Fever and Hot In Herre, showcasing polished choreography, strong stage presence, and undeniable chemistry.
Alongside the group performances, solo acts from Delicious Denise, Bubbles Byzance, Amethyst Allure, and Heather Ann Lace added depth and variety to the evening. Each performer brought her own energy and interpretation to the stage, creating a rich and memorable showcase that celebrated confidence, creativity, and empowerment.

Celebrating The Stars Of Selby Sirens
A highlight of the year was recognising the dedication and commitment of the Selby Sirens at the Class Awards 2023. April Lilly was awarded Star of the Class 2023, acknowledging her exceptional effort and growth throughout the year. Miss Dedicated 2023 was presented to Lil bit O’Booty, recognising her consistency, passion, and determination in class.
These awards celebrate more than performance. They honour commitment, perseverance, and personal growth, reflecting the supportive and uplifting environment that defines the Selby Sirens.
Further recognition came as Bubblez Byzance was crowned Miss Star of Burlesque With Paris 2023, highlighting the troupe’s commitment to nurturing talent and celebrating achievement across the wider Burlesque With Paris community.
