A Night Of Glittering Talent At Doncaster Little Theatre At The Burlesque Ball Part 1…

The Burlesque With Paris Burlesque Ball Part 1 brought a dazzling wave of glamour, artistry and electrifying burlesque talent to Doncaster Little Theatre on the 15th of November. Beautifully captured by Khandie Photography, the evening showcased unforgettable performances, emotional storytelling, and the magic of a community united by confidence, creativity and sparkle. With the charismatic John Celestus hosting the evening, the event unfolded with elegance, humour and professional polish.

As guests arrived, the theatre hummed with excitement. Backstage, performers slipped into their costumes, feathers, sequins, corsets and glitter filling every corner while sharing last-minute encouragement and laughter. In the lobby, Paris Chantilly greeted each guest with her signature warmth, creating an instant sense of welcome and class. Alongside her, the fabulous stage manager Cupid Stunt oversaw every detail with flawless precision, ensuring the evening flowed effortlessly. The air buzzed with chatter, sparkling outfits, clinking glasses and the palpable sense that something truly special was about to begin.

Fifi Whispers from Hull Harlots opened the show with a vibrant and captivating routine to Bossa Nova Baby by Elvis Presley, immediately setting the tone for an evening of glamour and show-stopping artistry. Gliding onto the stage in a dazzling purple sequin tassel dress paired with long black satin gloves, she exuded classic showgirl charm from the very first beat. As the music swelled, she moved with effortless confidence, her glove peeling slow and sultry, each flourish igniting excitement in the room. Midway through her performance, Fifi released the top of her dress to reveal a shimmering sequin bra, followed by the dramatic drop of her tassel skirt, unveiling sleek black pants adorned with a gleaming coin belt. Her finale, a joyous confetti pour cascading from her final glove sent the audience into rapturous applause. Every step, shimmy, and flourish was executed with immaculate precision, making her opening number an unforgettable burst of radiance.

Jule’s Divine from Drax Diamonds stepped into the spotlight with her debut solo to Why Don’t You Do Right? (Jessica Rabbit), radiating Old Hollywood glamour in a show-stopping floor-length red gown. Her look was completed by deep purple satin gloves and a plush purple boa that she manipulated with elegant finesse. Her movements were fluid and sensual, each gesture dripping with vintage sophistication. Partway through her routine, she executed a smooth glove peel followed by a cheeky bum roll that sent the audience smiling. She teased the air with her boa, her expressions a perfect blend of seduction and poise. As she slipped away her final glove and signed off with a flirtatious blown kiss, the audience erupted into warm applause, an exceptional response to a poised and confident solo debut.

The Sugar Belles tore onto the stage with fiery intensity, delivering a bold and electrifying group performance to I Love Rock and Roll by Joan Jett. Ruby Red, Mystique Riviera, Glamour Jules, Sapphire Rose, Miss Peach Fizz, Carrie De’Vine, Luna Rose and Cherry Blossom were a commanding sight in striking red and black leather and PVC, their outfits reflecting the raw, unapologetic energy of the song. Wrapped in warm earthy tones, a brown dress, coordinating wrap, hat, and fan, she created an aesthetic that felt both nostalgic and cinematic. Her routine unfurled slowly, each layer removed with controlled grace; her fan drifted from her fingers, her hat lifted away, her wrap peeled from her shoulders, and her skirt loosened to reveal a sleek silhouette beneath.
